Channels

This article will explain how to utilize Channels on the Cyrano website.

 

Managing Channels

If you are an administrator/content creator then you have the ability to manage your systems channels. For information on subscribing to channels, view our Discover Channels article. To access the internal channel management page click on the Audience tab on the far left side of the homepage. From there click on the Channels tab to access the channels grid.

 

Creating/Editing Channels

To create a new channel click the Channels button located at the top right of the screen.

  1. First give your channel a name and a brief description. You may also upload a thumbnail for the channel. You must give the channel a name before proceeding.
  2. Next, select the subscribers to the channel. You do this by clicking the Subscriber button. This will pull up a pop up window with a list of your users. Check each one that you want to subscribe to the channel and receive programs published to it.
  3. Finally, select the users who you want to allow to publish to the channel by clicking the Publisher button.

Editing channels works in the same manner. Simply click the edit button to the left of the channel.

 

Subscribing to External Channels

External channels are channels that are not specific to your system and any user in any organization may subscribe to. To subscribe to one of these channels click the Subscribe to an External Channel button in the top right corner of your screen and select the channel you wish to subscribe to.
